He is preceded in death by his parents one son, Michael Sprout two brothers, Bob Oliver and Ernie Sprout and three sisters, Frances Rynearson, Norabelle Rynearson, and Helen Oliver. He is also survived by three children, Matthew (Kathy Tongue) Sprout of Champaign, IL, Chris (Cindy Seidel) Sprout of Metamora, and Tim (Stacie) Sprout of Canton two sisters-in-law, Maxine Oliver and Gail Sprout and seven grandchildren, Andy, Mariah, Brady, Nick, Cannon, Lucas, and Malina. He married Carol Keel on November 5, 1967, in Peoria.

He was born November 5, 1946, to Ernest and Hazel (VanDusen) Sprout in Yates City. , on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. Sprout, 76, of Yates City, passed away at 10:55 p.
